Clinical Information
Wells Community Hospital Trust is registered with the Care Quality Commission, ID 1-220012705, as a provider for Treatment, disorder and injury. The Mermaid Centre staff will ensure you are involved in your plan of treatment and are cared for in a safe environment by staff qualified for their position. Any incident or complaint will be followed up following our procedures with the Board of Trustees involvement.
You will be asked to give us feedback on your experience with us and we value your comments to give us the opportunity to maintain improvements within our service.

Types of dialysis undertaken
All dialysis access modes are accepted including central line, permacath, fistula and grafts.
Holiday Dialysis
UK Nationals: We undertake dialysis for UK nationals with your relevant local health authority recompensing us at the agreed tariffs.
"Non UK citizens: People from selected other countries are able to dialyse with us. Dependent upon your home nation’s policies you might be able to reclaim our fees from your health service or national insurance scheme. Contact us for more information.
Local Dialysis
Whilst we are unable to offer the full suite of services such as dieticians, and pharmacists. If you are a local resident and would like to consider using the Mermaid Centre we would be delighted to talk to your nephrologist about how this might be practical for your individual needs.
